28th Annual Blues Music Awards

The ceremony honoring the winners of the 28th annual Blues Music Awards, formerly known as the W.C. Handy Awards was held on May 10, 2007 at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Charlie Musselwhite was the big winner, taking home four awards for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Traditional Blues Album of the Year, and Harmonica Player of the Year. To be eligible, recordings must have been released between November 1, 2005 and October 31, 2006. What follows is the complete list of nominations, with the winners highlighted in bold:
